Trend Alert: Falling For Pumpkin Shades

Written By: Katelyn Chef

Florals for spring. White jeans for summer. Pumpkin shades for fall. Every fashion season seems to have its traditions – those certain styles that repeat every year, no matter the trend forecast.

There’s no doubt that pumpkin is the ever-repeating trend for fall. We eat it, we wear, we pick them on weekends, we live for pumpkin come fall – and luckily there are plenty of affordable ways to master the pumpkin trend.

Trend Alert: Falling For Pumpkin Shades | The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style

Being a Chica on a budget, we adore Forever 21’s Cutout Cable Sweater ($24.80).  We also dig their divine Pleated Crepe Woven Skirt ($17.80) — both chic but affordable ways to incorporate orange into your fall wardrobe.

Another look to add some autumnal punch to your wardrobe is Old Navy’s Quilted Zip-Front Vest — on sale for $20. Try out the vest in pumpkin and you’ll be  warm and cozy all season long.

Happy Harvest.

Budget Babe: L'Oreal's Genius New Dye

Budget Babe: L'Oreal's Genius New Dye

Written By: Katelyn Chef

Beauty fanatics and hair dye enthusiasts unite: L’oreal has a new at-home dye that is about to make your life a lot easier.

Introducing L’Oreal Paris Preference Mousse Absolue – a pre-mixed bottle of hair dye that promises eight weeks of super-rich color. The best part about this under $15 dye is that the resealable bottle allows for multiple uses, which means that you won’t waste a drop and will have to spend less on dye overall. Genius.

There’s also a new formula involved. This is a foam hair dye, Chicas, and take it from us – the new application is much easier than what you’re used to.

L’Oreal’s Mousse Absolue currently has a variety of fourteen different shades ranging from light golden brown to a dark auburn brown, so now the only hard part will be to find your favorite color.

Dying your hair has never been so much fun (or so affordable!).
